Privacy Policy
This privacy policy describes how the Semantris AI game website ("the site", "we", "our") handles information when you visit and play. By using the site, you agree to the practices described here.
1. Information we collect
The Semantris game is designed to run almost entirely in your browser. We deliberately collect as little data as possible.
- No account is required. You do not sign up, log in, or provide personal details to play.
- Gameplay data stays local. Your best score is stored in your browser's
localStorageon your own device. It never leaves your browser. - Word clues are processed locally. When you type a clue, it is converted into a vector by an AI model running inside your browser. The text of your clues is not transmitted to our servers.
- Standard server logs. Like most websites, our hosting provider may keep minimal access logs (IP address, browser type, requested URL, timestamp) for security and abuse prevention. These logs are rotated and not used for advertising profiling.
2. Third-party resources
To deliver the AI game, the page loads the following third-party resources at runtime:
- jsDelivr (cdn.jsdelivr.net): serves the transformers.js library and the MiniLM model files. Loading these resources causes your browser to share its IP address and User-Agent with the CDN, subject to their own privacy policy.
We do not use Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, or other advertising trackers on this site.
3. Cookies and local storage
The site does not set any tracking cookies. It uses localStorage only to remember your high score and the browser cache to store the downloaded AI model so it doesn't need to be redownloaded on every visit. You can clear both at any time from your browser settings.
4. Children's privacy
The game is suitable for general audiences. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information through our contact form, please contact us so we can delete it.
5. Your rights
Because we do not store personal data on a server, there is generally nothing for us to provide, correct, or delete. You can clear your local data at any time by clearing your browser's site data. If you previously emailed us, you may request deletion of any retained correspondence by contacting us.
6. Changes to this policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. The "last updated" date below indicates when the policy was most recently revised. Material changes will be highlighted on the home page.
